Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EventMonster, an event ticketing and private invitation platform. By creating an account, creating an event, purchasing a ticket, or otherwise using EventMonster, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
EventMonster is currently operating in a testing phase ahead of the formal registration of a company to own and operate the platform. During this phase, EventMonster is provided on an experimental, as-is basis, without the guarantees that would normally accompany a fully established commercial service, and you should factor that into any decision to rely on it for a paid or business-critical event. Once a company is registered, it will assume these Terms and step into EventMonster's place as the contracting party, without reducing the rights you have under this document; we will update the date at the top of this page when that happens.
EventMonster provides tools for organisers to create, promote, and manage events. This includes online ticket sales processed through the organiser's own connected Stripe account, free cash-on-entry events that require no payment processor, and private invitation pages for personal events with RSVP tracking. EventMonster charges no platform fees and no per-ticket charges on any event, paid or free. Where an organiser sells tickets online, Stripe's own processing fees apply and are a matter between the organiser and Stripe; EventMonster is not a party to that fee arrangement.
To create an account you must provide accurate information and be legally capable of entering into a binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity carried out under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
If you create or manage an event on EventMonster (an "Organiser"), you are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your event listing, for delivering the event as advertised, for setting and honouring your own refund and cancellation terms, and for complying with all laws that apply to your event, including consumer protection law, health and safety requirements, age restrictions, licensing conditions, and any tax obligations arising from ticket sales. EventMonster is a technology provider and is not the organiser, promoter, or seller of record for any event listed on the platform.
Organisers are responsible for complying with data protection law in respect of the attendee, guest, and RSVP data they collect through EventMonster, including having a lawful basis to contact their attendees and honouring attendee requests to access or delete their data. EventMonster processes that data on the organiser's behalf as described in our Privacy Policy and does not use it for EventMonster's own marketing purposes.
Online payments for ticket sales are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates under the organiser's own Stripe account, subject to Stripe's own terms of service. EventMonster does not hold, custody, or have access to attendee card details, and is not a party to the payment relationship between an organiser and their attendees. Disputes over refunds, chargebacks, or event delivery are between the organiser and the attendee (or, where applicable, Stripe); EventMonster may assist in good faith but has no obligation to mediate or refund on an organiser's behalf.
You agree not to use EventMonster for any unlawful purpose, to list fraudulent or misleading events, to circumvent or interfere with the platform's security or payment systems, to scrape or misuse other users' data, or to send unsolicited communications to attendees or guests beyond what is reasonably necessary to administer their event. We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches these Terms, that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully or fraudulently, or that poses a risk to other users or to EventMonster, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
EventMonster is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and are not liable for losses arising from an organiser's own event (including its cancellation, postponement, or how it is run), for third-party services we integrate with (including Stripe and email delivery providers), or for indirect or consequential loss, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You may close your account at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law or the platform; material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page, and continued use of EventMonster after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, save where you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or EU and mandatory local consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact address shown on our Contact page.
